The Ryerson University Student Chapter of WEAO is an organization whose main goal is to promote students interest in water
environment and to enhance the professional development of its members through communication with the Water Environment Association of Ontario (WEAO) members.
As members of Ryerson Chapter we foster the student's awareness about the field of water and wastewater by organizing various activities such as technical
seminars, industrial site tours, networking events, etc.
WEAO at Ryerson University helps to promote student interest in the water environment and provide an avenue for professional development.
The Ryerson Chapter imparts information and engages students via diverse events and activities, by liaising with WEAO through the WEAO New Professional Committee members.
Initiated in 2007, the chapter is managed by Ryerson University students and the chapter's faculty advisor, Dr. Manuel Alvarez-Cuenca of the Department of Chemical Engineering.
