Typically a&nbsp;<br /> completed plane will weigh 5-8 lbs (empty cargo bay).&nbsp; </span></span></h3> <h3><span class="style6"><span class="style11">Question: What type of engine does an Aero Design plane use?</span> <br /> <span class="style9">Our plane uses the FX 61 OS MAX engine as to comply with&nbsp;<br /> the SAE Aero Design Competition.</span></span></h3> <h3><span class="style6"><span class="style11">Question: How much weight can an Aero Design plane lift?</span> <br /> <span class="style9">In past years we&rsquo;ve lifted between 16 &ndash; 24.5 lbs.
